First Moulding Process 'Casting' - China clay slip is poured into plaster moulds where it takes on the shapes such as teapots, bowls, dishes and vases etc.  At this stage the product becomes 'Greenware'. The greenware is allowed to dry before being sent to 'Biscuit Firing' kilns.  Biscuit Firing makes the product hard and stabilises the shape (the product has a set shape) it is not yet gloss fired.
